First ever FIFA Women Seminar Lusaka, Zambia and Resolutions made to develop women’s Football in Zambia take it to the next level. We are grateful to the Football Association of Zambia and FIFA for organizing this important seminar for different stakeholders involved in the development women’s football. The first ever Women Football FIFA Com-Unity seminar opened in Lusaka Monday 18th February 2013 with the Football Association of Zambia and Government outlining new policy proposals as well as challenging stakeholders to ensure that the women’s game overcomes existing challenges and becomes a viable source of livelihood for ladies.
Youth and Sports deputy minister Stephen Masumba declared the seminar at the Cresta Golfview hotel officially open with a reminder to delegates that government would keenly follow the three-day proceedings and plans which will be formulated at the end of the programme.
Among the NGO’s that were invited included; Breakthrough Chiparamba Sports Academy, Bauleni United Sports Academy, Kalim Sports Council, LifeSkills Development Foundation, Sport In Action and NOWSPAR. The mentioned organizations are active members of the Sport for Social Change Network Zambia Chapter.
The seminar closed on 21 February with key resolutions made to develop women’s football.
